American Music Awards Performance: Alicia Keys

What She Sang: A Reggae Mix (I missed the name of the song she sang -corrected thanks to help from a commenter) featuring her new song, “No One”

What She Wore: Alicia was looking hot, as usual. She was at her piano. She had a bluish-grey pantsuit on and she looked great with her hair down.

Performance Value: Alicia is one of the best performers today. Her voice is phenomenal. She seems so at home up on stage, though she gave off a slight tremble that I noticed near the beginning. She had some help with Junior Reid and Chaka Demus. As you might expect, I think that this one is going to be the performance of the night. Not a big surprise with Alicia. When the guys were singing she was getting funky with the dancers to the hot reggae beats.

When she was singing, she was taking my breath away. If only all singers could be that good. If you haven’t checked out her new CD, get it, it’s hot. I don’t have it yet, but I know it’s good. Half the crowd was on their feet and who could blame them? It was enough to get me dancing, for sure.
