Soul & R&B Winners for the AMAs:
SOUL/RHYTHM & BLUES
Favorite Male Artist:
Akon
Ne-Yo
T-Pain
Winner: Akon
I was stuck with this category. I like Akon and Ne-Yo a lot, and T-Pain isn’t so bad either. It was awesome to see Akon win. This was his first AMA win. He looked pretty good. He was wearing a coat that went to his knees and a basic white shirt underneath. Akon offered the award to T-Pain on stage and they had a little laugh on stage about Akon’s offer to give it to him. T said he would take it, because Akon doesn’t have room for any more awards on his television. Don’t you hate when you run out of room in that spot? I know I do.
Favorite Female Artist:
Beyonce
Fantasia
Rihanna
Winner: Rihanna
I knew she had this one in the bag. I just have to ask though…who the fuck added Fantasia to this category?! She didn’t need to be here. Rihanna gave a shot out to Alicia Keys for her hot performance, thanked a shitload of people, including Jay Z and her fans. She also gave a shout out to Kanye, whose mother recently passed.
Favorite Album:
Beyonce/B’Day
R. Kelly/Double Up
Justin Timberlake/FutureSex/LoveSounds
Winner: Justin Timberlake
He’s back on satellite for the second time tonight. He said thanks, gave a wave, and was out of dodge. I knew he was going to win. R. Kelly wasn’t gonna happen and B Day was good, but JT is on fire these days.

Ashtyn is definitely the casual gamer in the family. A game fan since she owned an Atari, Ashtyn can remember when her brother rigged the television so he wouldn’t lose his Super Mario Bros. game. That is, until the power went out! A fan of all things Mario, Ashtyn is a Nintendo loyalist. She digs playing Mario-style RPG games, watching others play violent shooters (because she sucks at them), and playing casual PC games (like Wedding Dash and Cake Mania). As of now, she is into the Wii and Nintendo DS, though she’s certain the games for PS3 and Xbox 360 are more appealing.
