The Oscars – Cinematography

Robert ElswitThe Nominees:
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Atonement
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood

Our Prediction
No Country for Old Men

Ultimate Upset
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

And the winner is…
There Will Be Blood

Our Thoughts on the Winner
Cameron Diaz was announcing the award. I have to say that she looked awful in her off the shoulder pink dress. It is beyond me why some of the people that come to the Oscars, seem to go to the trouble of finding a dress (even if it is from Walmart), and then they don’t do their hair.

Needless to say, Robert Elswit won his first award from his second nomination. He was thankful to those he worked with and looked excellent and humble in his tuxedo. The speech was short, sweet, and thankful before he was ushered off stage to allow for the next award.

Ashtyn is definitely the casual gamer in the family. A game fan since she owned an Atari, Ashtyn can remember when her brother rigged the television so he wouldn’t lose his Super Mario Bros. game. That is, until the power went out! A fan of all things Mario, Ashtyn is a Nintendo loyalist. She digs playing Mario-style RPG games, watching others play violent shooters (because she sucks at them), and playing casual PC games (like Wedding Dash and Cake Mania). As of now, she is into the Wii and Nintendo DS, though she’s certain the games for PS3 and Xbox 360 are more appealing.
