A while back I wrote an article about how truly, disgustingly awful the Jonas Brothers sounded on the AMA Awards. I had never heard them sing and despite them sounding like complete crap, there were some fans that got very upset that I called them metrosexuals and cut them down when they are really nice and upstanding young men.
Of course, one of these upstanding young men dated Miley Cyrus who is becoming not as upstanding or nice as she used to be, but that’s for another day. This is something different it’s about the Jonas Brothers.
Again, I saw them perform live. This time they were on the American Idol stage. After I cleaned up my urine (I have a bad bladder when I laugh hysterically at something) I realized that maybe I wasn’t being fair. I tried to listen to them again. I say tried because I couldn’t stop giggling. Sure, I’ve heard worse. I’ve heard Chloe Latanzzi sing and in all fairness you can’t get any worse than that. However, they are a close second.
The reason I am offering this heartfelt apology is not because they suck on stage, but rather because I called them metrosexual. I see how unfair that was. I mean just look at this fine, overly-masculine outfit that Joe Jonas wore that night. It’s clearly not metrosexual. I think He-Man actually wore this in Season Two of the box set we just received. If He-Man wore it, it can’t be gay. So, I was wrong. I recant and I apologize.
You will never hear me say that the Jonas Brothers are metrosexual again. Of course, with clothes like that I won’t need to. They say everything I need to and more all on their own.

Ashtyn is definitely the casual gamer in the family. A game fan since she owned an Atari, Ashtyn can remember when her brother rigged the television so he wouldn’t lose his Super Mario Bros. game. That is, until the power went out! A fan of all things Mario, Ashtyn is a Nintendo loyalist. She digs playing Mario-style RPG games, watching others play violent shooters (because she sucks at them), and playing casual PC games (like Wedding Dash and Cake Mania). As of now, she is into the Wii and Nintendo DS, though she’s certain the games for PS3 and Xbox 360 are more appealing.

So, yeah it’s pretty clear “Liz” doesn’t read this blog regularly because Ashtyn has been bashing the Jonas Brothers since November of 2007. Just check out her first Jonas Brothers Article from the AMAs.
Didn’t Chelsea make her comments two to three months ago? Also, Ash has always maintained the boys can’t sing and they look pretty metrosexual when they dress. She’s never called them wannabe Beatles or made fun of their “caterpillar” eyebrows. So, yeah…if anyone should be apologizing for stealing someone’s bit it should be Chelsea from Ashtyn…or you could chalk it up to “Great Minds Think Alike”.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize the Jonas Brothers suck.
I disagree. And, No, I don’t read this regularly. Why would I? What reason have you given me? How many hits have you guys gotten since mentioning the Jonas Brothers?
People love them because they don’t wallow in bitterness…you might try it, honestly. Why the relentless, ultimately shallow criticism of them, and others?
They don’t always sing like “angels” and they don’t sing like a “boy band” nor do they seem to intend to…have you never listened to a band where singers had sometimes imperfect voices and it didn’t matter to you? Why is it always supposed nonconformists who find it the hardest to accept information beyond a couple of canned performances and marketing?
For the record, as a fan, I thought both of those performances were in their bottom 10%. But I don’t expect everyone to like their music, in any case. I also don’t understand why you even care.
I hope it is a JOKE that Ashtyn put Jared Leto/30 Seconds to Mars as her favorite act in her website bio? If not…I can’t imagine a thing more ironic as the connection of these two “opinions”.
You disagree with the fact that Ash bashed the Jonas Brothers first? I think the dates pretty much prove that’s the case, so go ahead and disagree all you want. It just makes you look dumb. We get plenty of hits whether the Jonas Brothers are mentioned or not and we’ve received both “you suck” and “I agree” posts by people who have read the Jonas articles.
The Jonas Brothers suck. They have Disney talent and it isn’t even Britney Spears Disney talent. That’s saying a lot because Britney Spears is a crappy vocalist. Their songs are not memorable, their lyrics are terrible, and their voices are disgustingly mundane.
Actually, the Jonas Brothers do remind me of a boy band. Limited vocal ability, girls fall all over and scream when they’re around and they dress like freaks…I see the Jonas Brothers as the three-boy version of NKOTB, and sadly NKOTB can actually sing better than the Jonas Brothers so maybe the comparison isn’t fair to the resurrected man-group.
