If Thursday wasn’t big enough, I am sure that Star Wars Friday will be enough to put some fans into shock. More than you can imagine will be going on Friday at Comic Con this year. 10:00-11:00 Batman: Brave & Bold— Meet up with Sam Register and James Tucker to check out their new plans for Batman in their new show premiering this fall on Cartoon Network. Join Sam and James for an exclusive first look at the series, a brief discussion, and a Q&A session! – Room 6B
10:00-10:50 Star Wars: Designing the Clone Wars Universe— Meet the original team that designed the look of the Clone Wars series. Moderated by Lucasfilm’s Steve Sansweet. – Room 7AB
10:00-11:30 Comic-Con Film School 102: Production— Learn the specifics of production, from shooting techniques to cheaper lighting methods, crew positions, costumes, props, and more. Best of all learn it for as little money as possible. Panelists for the class include Matt Kohnen (NYFA, writer/director of Wasting Away), Valerie Perez (producer/star of Paula Peril—Trapped in the Flames and Tears of the Dragon, a Lara Croft Fan Film), Nick Murphy (director of Tears of the Dragon), Aaron Shoenke (director of Batman Legends and Patient J), and Sean Rourke (writer/director of 1st Person Shooter). 11:15-12:15 Worlds Collide: The Making of Midway’s Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe— Ed Boon (Mortal Kombat) and Jimmy Palmiotti (Painkiller Jane) discuss how franchises collide with Mortal Kombat warriors battling DC superheroes. Ed and Jimmy provide a look at never-before-seen gameplay, unveil key characters, and answer questions. – Room 6B
12:00-1:00 Prince of Persia— Jordan Mechner, the creator of the Prince of Persia video game and graphic novel and the screenwriter of the upcoming movie, discuss the global phenomenon that is Prince of Persia. – Room 4
1:00-2:00 Introducing Resident Evil: Degeneration— Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi (Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 4) and director Makoto Kamiya (special effects director, L: Change the World, Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack) introduce the full-length CG-animated motion picture based on the popular Capcom video game franchise. View the new trailer and take part in a Q&A session with the filmmakers. Room 2
1:15-2:00 Hasbro: Star Wars and Indiana Jones— Derryl DePriest and Justin Kreter (Hasbro marketing), are joined by Brian Parrish, Mark Boudreaux, Dwight Stall, and Brian Wilk (Hasbro design) to talk about what the Hasbro design and marketing teams have in store for the remainder of 2008 in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones lines. 1:45-2:45 Ghostbusters: The Video Game— Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and panelists from Sierra Entertainment and Sony Pictures Consumer Products discuss the eagerly anticipated Ghostbusters: The Video Game, due out this October. Room 6B
2:00-3:00 Capcom: How to Get A Job in the Video Game Industry— Video game giant Capcom presents a panel of game industry vets to deliver an overview of the variety of career opportunities in the industry, personal success stories, tips, and suggestions for those who want to get in. Q&A session ends the presentation. Room 2
2:15-3:15 DC: Batman: No Rest for The Dark Knight—Senior editor Michael Marts, Grant Morrison (Batman), Paul Dini (Detective Comics), Dustin Nguyen (Detective Comics), Brian Azzarello (Joker), and others discuss the mythos of the Bat and what looms ahead for the Dark Knight. Room 6A
3:30-4:30 Marvel to the Nth Degree—On Friday, Marvel will unveil a covert project that we have been seeding as part of a secret partnership for many months–including a sneak peek–of an unprecedented way to experience a new work by one of the biggest names in entertainment (we didn’t say comic books, we said Entertainment). Room 6A
4:00-5:00 The Saga Continues: Star Wars 2008— Lucasfilm’s Steve Sansweet will welcome Dave Filoni (director), Catherine Winder (producer), Henry Gilroy (co-writer), and Jason Tucker (editor) to talk about George Lucas’ ground-breaking new, fully animated movie, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, in theaters August 15. There’s news for video game fans too, on The Force Unleashed and The Clone Wars. Prepare for exciting, exclusive previews of the movie and the games too! Hall H
4:15-5:15 Xbox LIVE Original Content Panel—Get a sneak peak at the next generation of exciting original video content coming to Xbox LIVE worldwide. Meet the major Hollywood talent creating the content as they showcase their work, participate in a Q&A, and provide a few surprises. Room 6B
4:45-5:45 It’s a Great Comic-Con, Charlie Brown— Together for the first time at Comic-Con, Warner Home Video, United Media and the Schulz Estate bring you a Peanuts voice cast reunion. 5:30-6:30 24— It’s been off the air since May, 2007 but Comic-Con fans will get the first look at the exciting prequel shot in South Africa and the upcoming 7th season of the Emmy winning Fox series, as well as chat with the executive producers and stars Kiefer Sutherland and Carlos Bernard. 6:30-8:00 Kevin Smith Makes a “Porno”— Smith is back at Comic-Con to talk movies, comics, and whatever else the audience wants to talk about. This year, he’ll be highlighting his fall film, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, starring Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. Hall H
