CRYPTIC STUDIOS LICENSES RIGHTS TO PRODUCE STAR TREK ONLINE

Fans of Star Trek will not want to miss the MMO Gameplay Reveal that will be occurring at the annual Star Trek Convention on August 10, 2008. If you are one of the unlucky trekkies that will not be making it to the convention you can still watch the news of the reveal via Live Webcast at www.startrekonline.com

Cryptic Studios is known for their MMORPGs and we’re sure this one will be just as impressive as the others. They have announced that the global rights to develop and publish Star TrekĀ® Online have been secured. The game is set to become a massively multiplayer online game that is based on the legendary Star Trek franchise, from CBS Consumer Products.

On Sunday, August 10, 2008, Cryptic will unveil the first Star Trek Online gameplay footage. At this time they will also reveal details about what you can expect. If you’re not going to be at the convention, don’t sweat it. You can watch everything from your computer by visiting the event live via webcast at www.startrekonline.com.
