SAN FRANCISCO – October 28, 2008 – – Today Ubisoft announced that three titles in the all-new Ener-G series of video games are now on store shelves for the North American market. The first brand of sports games targeted toward girls, Ener-G focuses on socialization and allows girls to experience the fun of being part of a team. These games in the series feature three popular activities among tween girls: dancing, gymnastics and horseback riding.

According to a recent study by The NPD Group , socialization is gearing up among pre-teens, and the advent of interactive gaming really hits home with these girls, who are looking for friends from the comfort of their homes.

“This holiday season, parents are looking for safe, affordable gifts for their children and our Ener-G brand is the perfect fit,” stated Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft North America. “The Ener-G games will not only satisfy parents, but they also give tween girls a new outlet through which they can express their creativity and love for sports.”

Ener-G Dance Squad lets girls reveal their dancing potential by working with a coach to develop new steps and choreograph dances by combining the coolest moves.

In Ener-G Gym Rockets, girls get the chance to live the life of a young gymnast, as she twists, tumbles and twirls in five events, including floor, uneven bars and balance beam, on her way to the World Gymnastics Championships.

Fulfilling every little girl’s dream of having a horse, Ener-G Horse Riders lets players create and train their own horse, enter thrilling competitions, ride around the open countryside and even tame wild horses.

Rated E for Everyone by the ESRB, the first three Ener-G titles are available at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $29.99 and can be purchased anywhere video games are sold.
