Resistance 2 Box Art15. Resistance 2 – Sony and Insomniac Games released a winning sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man. I’ve been dying to get my hands on a copy of the latest adventures of Nathan Hale. What’s not to love about this Sci Fi style game that is a first person shooter? Hale is set to take on the Chimera, who are launching a full scale attack, and only he has the ability to stop them.

It’s the mature games, first person shooters especially, that I enjoy the most. If you have a video game fanatic who is just like me, in your life, then you’re going to want to purchase Resistance 2 for them. Since this is available for the PS3 expect superior graphics and a rich environment geared towards immersive gameplay.

You can buy this for the holidays through Amazon for $59.99.

Armored Core For Answer Box Art14. Armored Core: For Answer – I had a chance to review this title. You can check out my review of Armored Core: For Answer here, for a more detailed look into the entire game playing experience. As you develop your own customized Armored Core (NEXT), you can build up a war machine to take on anyone who dares to cross your path. You determine your allegiances and your path as you explore a world not suitable for the majority of humanity to live.

You might choose to help the corporations that run the sky born societies (Cradles) for humans, or you can fight with the rebel organizations against them, to protest their treatment of those left to roam the unsuitable wasteland of Earth. However, you choose to fight, you’ll be able to do so with a spectacularly built NEXT, while you help to determine your strengths and weaknesses, which will get you through your individualized game.

Buy a copy of Armored Core for Answer at Amazon for $59.99.

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway Box Art13. Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway – I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Brother in Arms: Hell’s Highway to review, earlier this year. This game is excellent. I’m not the biggest fan of war games, but I really did enjoy playing this game. I love the entire World War II aspect, especially since I’m fascinated with the history of the time period. You will fight along with other soldiers, as you take on the Nazis and defend the honor of a true and just world.

I had the chance to review this game for the PS3, but as you can obviously see, it is available for the Xbox 360, as well as the PC. You’ll be returning to the role of Staff Sergeant Matt Baker, during one of the later battles of World War II. Expect plenty of historical style military action and the chance to destroy some pretty evil Nazis. Rated M for mature, this game should not be used as a history lesson. It’s more of a stress reliever, especially for fans of first person shooters.

You can pick up Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway at Amazon for $69.99

Legendary Box Art12. Legendary – I was so excited when I was given the chance to review Legendary for Gamerrazzi. While Legendary was a bit over hyped, it still is fun to play, and the story behind the game is interesting enough to make it worth a purchase this holiday season.

When a thief is hired by a mysterious organization, the Black Order, to steal an artifact, the Pandora’s Box, from a New York museum, he doesn’t realize he is about to unleash all that Pandora’s Box has to offer, and more on the world. As a variety of monsters reign down their wrath on the city, it will take everything in your power to get out of harms way, by battling monsters and using a strange power, granted upon Deckard to stop the monsters before they destroy the world.

Legendary is available at Amazon in versions for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360. A copy is going to run you $30 this holiday season.

Far Cry 2 Box Art11. Far Cry 2 – I was lucky enough to receive this game to review, for the PS3. I loved this game. It was one of my favorite new shooters of 2008. You can check out my review of Far Cry 2, for a more detailed look into gameplay.

You play as a mercenary in a war torn Central African nation. The stunningly beautiful scenery makes this game all the more appealing, as you take on missions and figure out how to find the primary target of your mercenary ways, The Jackal. This game is intense with smart enemies that make every step you take a battle. You can play the two sides against one another, or join up to help one side out on their quest to defeat the other.

Far Cry is rated M. Amazon prices the game at $59.99.
