Well, EA is trying to reclaim the throne as the #1 3rd party video game developer. Here’s what they’re offering at E3!

We open with a trailer from Visceral Games. “Dante’s Inferno” – One of the sweetest looking action games thus far seen at E3. The graphics illicit a response from Ashtyn of “Holy Hell!”

“The Sims 3″ is being released tonight. Before getting started, we got to see just what “The Sims 3″ is going to offer.

There are 12 “great” games that EA is announcing today.

Chip Lang, who is in charge of EA’s Hasbro division, is announcing EA’s latest Hasbro offerings. Little girls will be thrilled to know the Littlest Pet Shop Friends is the latest game being released on the Wii and DS.

Littlest Pet Shop Online brings pets online. This will allow young girls to explore with their pets (and friends) online in a safe environment. Minigames will also be available for players. The trailer for Littlest Pet Shop Online trailer shows that you can have your own scrapbook, view your friends’ scrapebook, chat, and message together. It’s coming Fall 2009.

Charm Girls Club is another game for young girls. These are the “BFFs every girl wants.” Charm Girls Club lets you compete to get charms.

Pajama Party for the Wii – They can play alone or with up to 8 friends – motion controls make it fun for girls. Get up to 40 charms and use them to get surprises.

Titles coming for Nintendo DS:
My Fashion Show
My Fashion Mall
My Perfect Prom

Yes, little girls will love it. They are not as nasty as Brats. It isn’t very exciting for us hardcore gamers though.

“Need for Speed Shift” is more my style. It has a cockpit view. You are in your car as you race. “How you drive on the track defines who you are.”

You have a driver profile. It’s made up of four aspects: Personality, Success, Badges, Driver Points

Your cockpit view allows you to hit top speeds. You can bump, spinout, and trade paint with rival drivers (if you’re a mad crazy driver – like me). You will profile points and rewards. There are also training exercises. The better the driver you are the more points you earn.

“Dragon Age: Origins” will be released October 20, 2009 for Xbox 360, PC and PS3. The graphics are high tech. Other than the trailer not much information was given.

“Mass Effect 2″ – You will command a mission as Shepherd, to save all mankind. You have to lead dangerous/powerful team on a suicide mission. This is Xbox 360 and PC. It’s coming from Bioware. E3 released the very first trailer for it. The graphics are fantasy-oriented and the story seems almost epic.

According to EA, 500 Million are playing on the EA Sports Server.

EA Sports is bringing a lot more titles to the table. Here are their new titles:

“Fight Night Round 4″ – Is at 60 frames per second (last was at 33). As realistic to real fighting as it gets. Features an instant replay mode. Everything is done dynamically. The game is available on June 25, 2009.

“MMA” – Time to get into the cage. Features the broad Mixed Martial Art experience. Coming in 2010.

“Tiger Woods PGA Online” – New way to connect golf fans.

Team Builder – New in NCAA Football 10 – You can build and create your team on the web. You can customize your fields, your players (jerseys, helmets, etc.). This brings your web based content to your console.

You can start creating today at:

NCAA Football 10 will be available next month.

Madden NFL 10 Online Franchise – Online drafting, trading, standings, and other customization.

EA Sports Active on Wii was released recently. This presentation shows the positive aspect this game has had on people since its release. Over 600,000 units were sold in the first two weeks.

They are developing an Expansion Pack for EA Sports Active, which will be released next holiday.

“Grand Slam Tennis” – For the Wii, you will be experience tennis in a whole new, authentic way. This will be working with the new Wii Motion Plus. It will be released next week. Pete Sampras showed up to show the game off.

Pandemic is bringing “The Saboteur.” You play as hero, Sean Devlin. Sean is travelling through the City of Paris to bring down and destroy the Nazis who murdered his friends. This is a stealth/action game.

Climb and explore everything in the entire world. Hide in a variety of hidden locations.

“Brutal Legend” – Takes soundtracks from heavy metal. The graphics are inspired by heavy metal covers. Characters are rendered from actual musicians. Lita Ford is just one of the voices/characters in this game. She is joined by Ozzy Osbourne. This is actually an action-adventure game. Music and action combine in this crazy game that also features Jack Black as a Roadie and Lemmy Killmeister.

Brutal Legend will be released October 13, 2009.

Crytek is announcing Crysis 2 for Xbox 360, PSP, and PS3. Not much information is available, but the graphics do look very high tech.

EA announces a new partnership with RealTime World. Together, they are releasing “APB.” This high tech game takes place in the city. You can play online with over 100 players. Each player is unique from clothing to vehicles and music. This PC MMORPG lets you play as a criminal, with the ability to play as one of the Enforcers.

Bio Ware and LucasArts team up for the latest Star Wars game, “Star Wars: The Old Republic.” This is an MMO set in the Star Wars world where you connect with others online and live in your own adventure. This will be the first fully voiced game with every character speaking.

Every person will have its own unique story. This allows for continuous replayability. The very first trailer for the game is debuting at E3! The graphics are amazing.
