E3 2010: EA Press Conference Live Blog
It’s E3 and here at Gamerrazzi I’m delivering all of the announcements from EA. Their press conference at E3 is the first for the game companies, with Ubisoft set to follow.
2:10 PM PST – EA starts out their press conference with a trailer for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. If you like racing games, this one looks pretty sweet. It will be released November 16, 2010. EA wants to take it back to its roots by returning with exotic rides and hot pursuits (police chases).
Auto Log will allow players to collect, compare and race with friends.
2:13 PM PST – EA Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Demo. You can play as police or racer. The game was a little slow to load, but the graphics are magnificent. You play from a behind the car POV.
2:18 PM PST – Dead Space 2 is announced. Isaac is equipped with new, advanced mining tools. EA is offering a demo of the game. They left the video on a cliffhanger and announced they will show the ending at the Sony conference tomorrow. This looks a lot like the first game.
2:25 PM PST – EA wants to enhance the quality of FPS. EA is announcing a new game in a series that has not been out in three years. Sean Decker has come out to announce the game. The series is Medal of Honor. Dice and EA have teamed up to create the “most realistic war gaming experience.”
There is a 24-player live demo of the new Medal of Honor game. They are playing in Kabul in a team deathmatch. The graphics look incredibly realistic. The game is set for release on October 23, 2010.
2:30 PM PST – On June 21, the beta of Medal of Honor Multiplayer will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3. The trailer of the game looks a lot like the demo shown.

2:34 PM PST -Battlefront Bad Company 2 Expansion Pack will be released.
2:35 PM PST – It is time for some EA Sports! The three true game changes EA will be making are being announced.
The first is adding EA Sports MMA (partnering with Strikeforce). There will be multiple styles of fighting. The game will contain multiple fighters, cages, and rules. The gameplay engine has been specifically designed to accommodate all the various styles of MMA from around the world.
EA Sports Live Broadcast allows players to create their own player, fight for fame and fortune and broadcast to other players all around the world. Winners of live events can win real world prizes. Thousands watch and live broadcasters report what is going on every second of the match. People can watch on consoles and online. Fedo Emelianenko and Randy Couture are the cover artists and are two fighters you can control.
EA Sports MMA will be in stores October 19, 2010.
2:39 PM PST – The second is interactive fitness. EA Sports Active has help people get active. EA Sports Active 2 is going online and wireless. You can move with wireless controls. There are over 70 exercise. EA Sports Active 2 will be available on Kinect, Wii and PS3 (all wireless). I have to wonder why they have “good looking and fit people” showing off the game, since these people do not need to lose weight!

2:47 PM PST – Third is the advancement of Madden. You can create game play like real NFL coaches. There is a new game calling engine called GameFlo. Joe Montana has shown up to give his take on Madden 2011. He is explaining how football really works and EA is explaining how they’ve used this to enhance the authenticity of the game. Any level can allow gamers of any level to make calls and create them.
2:54 PM PST – The Sims 3 has given Sims free will. EA is trying to make the world more realistic. Sims 3 is being released this Fall on consoles.
3:01 PM PST – EA partners with many independent developers. One of those is Crytek who is releasing Crysis 2.
The franchise comes to New York. Combines sandbox style gaming with linear gaming. Vicious killers fill the city. This FPS looks wicked cool, as the demo that is shown is played in Grand Central Station. There are buildings falling all over.
3D glasses have been made available. Crysis 2 will be the only game on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii that will have 2D and 3D versions. A 3D game demo is being shown and everything looks whack!
3:12 PM PST – Bulletstorm is a new FPS from Epic Games. The game will be released February 22, 2011. This game is full of violence, blood and destruction. This game has a comic book feel to it. The gameplay demo for Bulletstorm shows FPS but also kicking, electro-whipping and a lot of explosions. The graphics are great, but have a fantasy feel to them. Very colorful demo.
3:20 PM PST – LucasArts and Bioware are sharing information on Star Wars: The Old Republic. Every player will get their own starship. Player battle in war zones on places suches Alderon. You can choose to be a Jedi or a Sith. Gameplay is stunningly realistic. The lands look brilliant and the characters look lifelike. This is the game to own.
