E3 2010 Exclusive Trailer: Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

One of my favorite announcements from Monday was for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series. The latest game, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is set to be released on November 16, 2010. I don’t know about my readers, but this is one of the titles I am most excited about. Some of the big changes include enhanced gameplay (Ubisoft revealed the ability to use cannons for extended battle options and the ability to mount and ride horses inside the city). This will make transportation much easier and provide an ideal way to escape when Ezio is in trouble.

Speaking of Ezio, he’s back. He’s become a legend of sorts, and he’s more than willing to take on the templars with his team of assassins. The game also offers a multiplayer mode, the first for the series.

Ezio is now the Grand Master of the Assassin’s Order and on top of his sword, he carries a crossbow. He is heading to Rome with his assassins to take on the Templars on their home turf. Once in Rome, Ezio is able to recruit and train assassins for his cause. This will be helpful since the attack speeds of enemies are faster and more difficult. Ezio also has a new nemesis in Cesare Borgia. The plot of the story has Borgia killing his uncle, which sets off a chain of events that lead Ezio on a mission to seek revenge.

Assassin’s Creed will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on November 16, 2010.
