E3 2010: Nintendo Press Conference Live Blog
It is time for Nintendo to showcase what they are releasing in the upcoming year. My love for gaming started with Nintendo, as a child in the 80s, so I am really excited to see whether Nintendo is going back to their roots. I want to see Nintendo’s core game series: Mario, Zelda, etc. to be offering new games.

9:03 AM PST – Zelda is here and it looks like the series is going back to the Ocarina style of gaming hardcore fans of the new series love. Gone is the little boy Link. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the name of the new game, which is developed for Wii.
The game allows for using the sword and shield more realistically. The Wiimote and Nunchuk can be used as the sword and shield. WiiMotionPlus helps to interact more naturally with items. By pointing the sword (Wiimote) up, the sword can be charged for special attacks. Link has a whip as well as a sword. WiiMotionPlus makes it pretty easy to switch between items.
The game won’t be available until 2011.
9:21 AM PST – Mario heads back to play sports with some friends that include Yoshi, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, and Donkey Kong, to name a few. Play basketball, street hockey, and more in Mario Sports Mix. The game is coming in 2011.
9:26 AM PST – Will Party allows your Mii to play with your family and friends. It features 13 different party game modes. Thsi includes Board Game Island, Balance Boat and House Party games. Over 70 different minigames are offered. It will be available during the Holidays of 2010.
9:27 AM PST – Ubisoft has developed Just Dance 2 for the Nintendo Wii. Over 40 new tracks will be offered.
9:29 AM PST – Golden Sun DS is now named Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. A new generation must save the world. It has the feel of the original games, but the graphics are much better. The game will be released during the holiday 2010.
9:31 AM PST – After 13 years, Goldeneye is returning to the game scene. It is exclusively for Wii. It features 16 game modes and 8 different Bond characters. Daniel Craig’s likeness is used for Bond. It will be released November 2010.
9:34 AM PST – A new Wii exclusive game, Disney Epic Mickey is released. Many long forgotten Disney characters are included. This is the land of forgotten Disney. Mickey uses paint and paint thinner (to erase characters and objects). This changes the world and how characters interact with you. This can change each characters’ story.
9:41 AM PST – Kirby is back after seven years without a game. Kirby’s Epic Yarn combines the old excitement of Kirby with new gaming conventions and art work. The game is available with Wii. It is scheduled for release Fall 2010.
9:45 AM PST – DragonQuest, the smash Nintendo DS hit in Japan is coming to the U.S. The game offers multiplayer options (up to 3 friends). Your DS will seek out others with the game nearby and add new content. It will be here in the U.S. on July 11, 2010.

9:52 AM PST – Nintendo 3 DS will be available for Nintendo 3D video game playing. This will offer 3D without the glasses!!! There will be multiple games available for the system. There is a slider to adjust the 3D effect. You can remove it all together. Graphics have been enhanced and the bottom screen features touchscreen while the top is 3D. There is a motion sensor.
