So, this time for Saturday and Sunday I am limiting myself to just ten things to talk about. Now if I was going, I am sure I would have a much longer list. I should mention though that I cut out a few things that I would have loved to see if there were scheduling difficulties with other panels or screenings. This list should do for now, though if you want to check out the entire schedule you can view Saturday’s or Sunday’s events list at the Comic Con site.

Saturday

Co-creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof and executive producer Carlton Cuse will discuss season 4 of Lost, leading up to the season finale. They will answer your questions and maybe even offer up some surprises of their own. Hall H

1:15-2:00 Warner Bros.: Terminator Salvation— Check out the newest installment of The Terminator film franchise. Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. – Hall H

Underworld : Rise of the Lycans
The third film in the popular Underworld franchise delves into the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires, known as Death Dealers, and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). A young Lycan, Lucian (Michael Sheen), emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Bill Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has persecuted them for hundreds of years. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, the beautiful vampire Sonja (Rhona Mitra), in his battle to free the Lycans from their brutal enslavement. On stage to take your questions will be Rhona Mitra, Bill Nighy, Michael Sheen and director Patrick Tatopoulos. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is in theaters everywhere January 23, 2009.

Quarantine
Television reporter Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles fire station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood-curdling screams and soon learn that a woman living there has been infected by something unknown. After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. Phones, Internet, television and cell phone access have been cut off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew’s videotape. Quarantine opens in theaters everywhere October 17.

Ashtyn is definitely the casual gamer in the family. A game fan since she owned an Atari, Ashtyn can remember when her brother rigged the television so he wouldn't lose his Super Mario Bros. game. That is, until the power went out! A fan of all things Mario, Ashtyn is a Nintendo loyalist. She digs playing Mario-style RPG games, watching others play violent shooters (because she sucks at them), and playing casual PC games (like Wedding Dash and Cake Mania).

This year’s Bravo Awards were hosted by Kathy Griffin. The less than liked comedian did at least one, semi-humorous skit and had plenty to say during her stint. Here are some of the most, off-the-wall shots from the festivities.

And the Award goes to Sluttiest Bitch on TV!
I didn’t watch the awards, but yeah this looks like Tila won some award. I’m not sure of the purpose of the Bravo awards, but I always thought they were given to the winner of the best shows on Bravo. Either way, I can only imagine what this hooch won! Hooker of the year maybe?

Who’s Zebra threw up?
Not sure who the hell Rachel Dratch is, but that is one ugly dress. The expression on her face seems to match the ugliness of her outfit. It looks as though everyone thought the Bravo Awards were that unimportant they just threw on any old thing!

PETA Called: They Want their Ostrich Back
I have to wonder if PETA thew blood on Nikki Taylor’s shoes because the former fashion model has gone color blind. While the top of her outfit looks okay, it looks like she killed an ostrich and wrapped the dead carcus around her waist to make her skirt.

Cho Whose Your Super Hero?
Margaret Cho has never been known for her fashion sense, but the blue spandex totally reminds me of Superman or some other tight wearing superhero. Too bad it doesn’t go with the knee high boots, black top or assorted array of tattoos. While she definitely looks like someone who could have dated Quentin Tarantino, I’m not sure that’s a good selling point.

Hey! Look at My Tits!
I could only imagine that Lauren Hutton wore this see-thru top to show off her bra so we all wouldn’t notice the humongous gap between her front teeth. The only other conclusion I’ve come up with is maybe its her plea with Hooters to give her a job. It’s not like she’s doing much of anything else these days anyway!

Look Ma! I made My Dong Bigger!
Lance Bass helped Kathy Griffin out in a series of skits, one in which it looks like he’s going to shove a dildo up her…well I don’t really want to think of where. All I can imagine is he had to use a fake dong since his real one is to small to get on camera.

Here’s more proof Lance has a little wee wee….

As you can see it doesn’t take much to cover up his ding dong.

Oops! My Boobie Fell Out…Again!
Hasn’t the Janet-Justin thing been overdone? Though I do think the prosthetic boobs was a nice touch. It’s sure to be the latest way women in Hollywood decide to make their boobs bigger.

Pause…and Take a Silent Moment…
I think this picture speaks for itself. I don’t need to say a word…just sit and wonder how the train wreck started. Poor plaid…it didn’t ask to be put on her body. Much like Britney’s babies that came out of her vagina, the plaid didn’t ask to be here.

WTF is That?!
After seeing this, that’s what my boyfriend, Dom, said about model Holly Kiser’s outfit. I mean, c’mon! Her tits aren’t even big enough to hold up those belt straps and someone needs to call PETA pronto. It looks like a whole fleet of birds have been plucked to make her skirt (or maybe they just skinned a rabbit). Sorry, I’m not down with my fur/feather knowledge.

Is this a picture of Perez Hilton’s Evil Nemesis?
At least his hair’s not multi-colored. You have to give Christian Siriano that much credit. Still, he’s equally as creepy and disgusting. I don’t care who this guy is or what he designs. He’s a troll. Enough said!

Jenny Craig Called…We want You Caroline!
Didn’t Caroline used to be on The Biggest Loser? I guess she didn’t follow their diet. She must have consulted Kirstie Alley for weight loss tips instead, because wow, Caroline has become a heifer! In the battle of the twinkies, I think it’s safe to say they won.

Okay, so I gave you pictures of the best and worst of the awards, but then I found pictures feature things happening that are just downright weird. For your entertainment, I give you the weirdness (or is it weirdest?) of the MTV Movie Awards:

Dana Carvey is pregnant?!
Seriously, look at that baby bump! It’s bigger than the one on Nicole Kidman! I don’t mean to brag, but I think I’m going to be the first to report on the “expecting” Daddy! Good luck with the delivery Dana. We hear birth can be rather painful!

Ode to the $2 Hooker with the Leather Whip
I know these are the costumes the Pussycat Dolls wore to perform at the MTV Movie Awards, but who the heck picked out these outfits? They look like their going to a backwoods leather bar to meet their Biker Momma.

Jack Black Becomes a Super Hero
Who knew that all it took was a little bit of marker to turn Jack Black into Ironman? Seriously, with just a few more touch ups he will look like Robert Downey Jr.’s twin!

Downey Jr. responsible for Shenanigan
I knew that Jack Black’s transformation into a super hero was too good to be true. It was just Robert Downey Jr. leaving a drawn signature on Black’s tummy. Look! He even signed his nipple! I don’t know if that’s funny or downright disturbing. Maybe a little of both. Hope that’s not permanent marker!

Random Homeless Beggar?
I don’t know who Jonah Hill is, but dang is he looking like a homeless beggar. If he’s a B-lister why not try and look more presentable? If you want to be memorable, don’t come in your best bag walker outfit. Get some class!

Mr. Rogers and His Tranny
Wow. I can barely comment on this. As Tom morphs into the Scientologist version of Mr. Rogers, Katie is becoming more mannish. Look at that mop top and the way she hulks over Tom. We all knew Tom loved the c-ck, but couldn’t he just have found a guy instead of morphing Katie Holmes into one?

She makes Me Look Hotter
Lindsay Lohan has the superior smirk of a girl who happens to be standing next to Bruce Willis in a dress. Rumor is pretty damn ugly and Lindsay knows it. Unfortunately for LoHo, the only way she gets deemed “hottest in the bunch” is to stand next to an ugly person. In the meantime, Rumor has her own little private smirk. You know, like the “I just put herpes on your dildo” or “I sucked SamRo’s monstrous clit first” look of satisfaction. I guess that just proves that it doesn’t take a hot person to pass on the STDs.

The Flowers and the Pillowcase
Yeah…Rain Wilson wore flowers and a teddy bear, but Megan Fox wore just a pillowcase. They make an unlikely pair, but just one slip (or tear) on stage would have given the audience a flash show they might (or might not -depending on the flashee) have desired. Let’s just hope neither dropped anything, like the soap!

I have a Big Spaceship
I figured it was only a matter of time before Tom converted Chris Brown and the rest of young Hollywood into Scientologists. As the space ranger, Brown is here to be the guide that welcomes the Mothership. What a cool job!

J-Lo Called; She Wants her Ghetto Booty Back!
Vanessa is looking a little, round in the rear. She’d do Sir Mixalot proud. Still, what’s that in the front? Disney might be shocked if we alluded to a baby bump, or maybe just shocked at the prospect of Zac Efron spawn on the Earth!

Not that it particularly matters because I probably would have continued watching Ninja Warrior and left this post the way it is going to be. I have a sick fascination with that show, but that’s for another post. This is all about those who turned up last night for the awards. Here are some of the highlights.

One out of four, is better than none
Well we all know that Rumer is fugly, I can’t get over the Demi hair with the Bruce body, and it’s just too creepy for me. The girl next to her is having some fashion issues with that print dress and then there is Katherine McPhee. Is it just me or does she have this, “I am totally a star” look on her face? Anyway, at least Anna looks cute, for the most part.

MTV’s Best Dressed
Admit it. You know Rob Schneider was the best dressed of the evening. With an outfit like that he was definitely dressed for success. He wasn’t even messing around with those knock-off dresses like Paris Hilton was, though that’s for another story.

Although…
Schneider might be one of the best dressed of the night, inquiring minds want to know…Does Britney realize that someone has stolen her weave?

I love you But…
I am huge Charlize supporter and feel that she is definitely one of the biggest talents in younger Hollywood. However, what is this outfit all about? I know that MTV is semi-casual, but while the shoes are hot, they don’t match the leggings, the bag is just nasty, and the corset top gives her a baby bump. Then again, maybe it’s a baby bump giving her that on its own, but still, the top isn’t working for me.

Fleeting Thoughts
So, I am Jennifer Hudson and I’m getting ready for the movie awards. I’m thinking to myself, how can I accentuate my outfit with a splash of color and make myself look like a $2 hooker? Oh, I know! I will wear my bra sticking four inches out of my dress. Here’s a lesson dimwit. Pink lace and red belts don’t go together very well.

Johnny Depp?!
I swear I saw this picture and didn’t know who he was. Between him playing Jack Sparrow and Sweeney Todd (which he both won for last night) I think I forgot what regular old Johnny Depp looks like. In seeing this, I have to say, it’s not a bad sight. Although, I’m sure my nephew would rather see him in pirate gear than like this, but hey, he’s three.

When it Doubt…
When you’re running late and you don’t have a dress for the MTV awards, what do you do? Pull a Liv Tyler and just pull down your curtains and fold them over artistically. No one will ever know. If you can get past the dress, Liv is her normal, lovely self.

I wonder…
While Lindsay was snapped all over the place at the awards, she apparently left her lesbian lover at home. Now, we all know how much she likes men, so it’s clear that she doesn’t bat for just one team. That has become even clearer as she stands there with Verne Troyer. You can just tell by the look on her face that she’s wondering if he would fit. Like all of him. His whole body. Meanwhile, he’s just like…you wish bitch.

Ruffle Attack ‘08
Lucy Walsh was probably my favorite girl on Rock the Cradle. It was sad to see her go and even worse to know that no talent hack Latanzzi got to stay because her goth-porn, emorexic fan base voted when they should have been out at therapy or looking for jobs. Anyway, I don’t even know if I can comment on this dress. It is beyond my scope of creativity. I love Lucy, but this dress scares me.

Pink Prom Dreams
Megan Fox was seen last night wearing a couple of dresses. Naturally, some were better than others. This was the dress she arrived in. It reminds me of an easy girl’s version of a prom dress. Not to say she is easy, I wouldn’t know that for sure. And by the way, I love Marilyn Monroe, but that seriously has to be the worst place for a tattoo on a chick. Ever.

I love the shoes that Nicole is wearing. I really do. I get the whole fat thing, too. She’s like one of the few people that didn’t lose a considerable amount of weight when she was on Dancing with the Stars. However, what I don’t get is why fat people need to dress in the loudest prints on the planet. I don’t mind the top half of this dress. In fact, I think it makes her look flattering. The bottom half looks like she found a nice, silk tablecloth to wrap herself in. Considering the style I am going to assume this would be from the Sandra Lee collection. After all, she does love her cocktails.

Oooh That’s Hot!
Other pictures have Joel’s little brother caressing Paris’ thigh. Let’s hope he doesn’t get an infection. Anyway, this is not about their nefarious sexual habits. Instead, it’s about the dress that Paris is wearing. Who knew Steve and Barry’s was having a sale? Better yet, who knew this dress would be the hottest in Hollywood? Apparently no one sent a blackberry to tell Paris that Janelle Perry wore this same exact dress to Palms Place Hotel Opening a day earlier. I may not know who Perry is, but it’s obvious she’s got one up on Hilton. That’s hot!

Rainn Wilson’s Roses
I always say, if you’re going to the movie awards you should always come prepared. Other pictures have him covering himself with a teddy bear. He’s after someone’s heart for sure. What’s next? Candy coveralls? Just be careful, those might melt!

Scientology Diet
Is it just me or do you agree that if this top became a button down, Tom Cruise would morph into Mr. Rogers? It’s creepy how he looks normal, but he’s actually the Scientology Monster of Doom. Needless to say, this pseudo-children’s show outfit makes him look relatively harmless while he’s waiting for the mothership to arrive.

Pimpin with the Cruise Control
I had to throw this in for all the wheelers out there! Verne is sporting a hot little ride here to move him into the awards. Sure, it looks like he’s wearing the exact same shirt from last night at the Palms Place, but who cares! He’s cool.

Wicked Witch of the City
I like Sarah Jessica Parker. I really do. However, the question has to be asked…Who taught this bitch how to dress? Those boots don’t match that dress. Her hair reminds me of a witch. You know, one of those ones you see trying to eat little children. I don’t know. I hate the boots most of all. I might be able to live with the dress, but the boots should be buried so that she never makes the mistake of wearing them again.

As of now, she is into the Wii and Nintendo DS, though she's certain the games for PS3 and Xbox 360 are more appealing.

This week there are seven contestants left in the AI bunch. Last week offered the shocking removal of Michael Johns from the pack. This was disappointed because he was far more talented than some of the others that have been left on the stage to continue to compete. Tonight, the remaining seven will be singing Mariah Carey songs.

Ryan Seacrest mentioned that everyone was still shocked by Michael Johns leaving and the crowd booed. Obviously they were as disappointed with his removal as I was. He mentioned it just to remind everyone how important it was to vote. I have to admit, this reminded me of when Daughtry was kicked. Now he’s one of the best selling Idols in history. I think Michael Johns will end up meeting a similar fate and I definitely look forward to getting my hands on a CD with his name on it.

When Seacrest announced the judges, they went through the line, one by one, as always. Randy was shown in a shirt we’ve seen before, Paula was looking perky in purple, and Simon was doing his natural thing. I have to admit, I have been looking forward to this week. Due to the fact that there are so many men in the competition, I imagined that it would be quite amusing to see what they did with these songs.

Mariah just managed to be scheduled the week of her CD release E=Mc2. She mentioned that she didn’t like judging people and told the Idols to look at her like she was just a new friend. Yeah, that shouldn’t be a problem, at all. Randy says that he hopes they do not try to sound like Mariah tonight. Paula deffered to Randy’s comment. Simon said tonight is make or break for Randy.

First up was David Archuleta. He was scared to meet Mariah and felt he wasn’t worthy to be in her presence. Mariah liked the idea of him singing “When you Believe”, which was a natural choice for the inspirational teen idol. She recommended that he try to go into his false and said his singing was beautiful.

What he Sang: “When You Believe”

What he Wore: David was wearing a red patterned t-shirt and leather pants.

How he Sounded: He slowed the song down some from the original version. It was alright, but everything was about the big voice we know he handles beautifully and the motivational message that comes in every song that he sings. So, it’s not that he wasn’t any good because he was. The problem was that he hasn’t really grown as an artist in the time we have been watching him. He’s amazing, no doubt, but in the same way that he was amazing, he was stagnant. He continues to do the same thing each week. However, I will give it to Mariah. Adding the false did sound good and he showed off a new move, although it was only one.

What the Judges Said: Randy was worried about the idea that the boys would have to sing a girl’s song, though he did point out, if you can sing, you can sing anything. He then proclaimed something that most of us already knew. David can sing. That was the bomb, according to Randy. Paula felt it had to feel great for Mariah to be listening to the great job that David just did and she’s sure that Mariah was very proud. Simon knew that David would pick this song, but it was good anyway. He set the benchmark. The guys are going to have an easier chance tonight, because unlike the girls there will be no comparison to Mariah.

After a break it was time for Carly Smithson to hit the stage. She said they all miss Michael and she was incredibly shocked when he left last week. When it came to singing, Mariah felt that Carly would do her song justice. She made wise decisions for her range and thought she would do fine as long as she was confident. Carly said the entire moment was a dream come true.

What she Sang: “Without You”

What she Wore: Carly wore an all black dress with a sequence belt and heels.

How she Sounded: I am a fan of Carly and tonight I was not disappointed though this was not my favorite performance, as I tend to like her more soulful or rock-style offerings. Unfortunately, Mariah, in all her glory, does not have too many rock options, if any. Carly did a much mellower take on this song than Mariah did when she made it popular back in the day. Mariah belted most of the song out and she sounded good. Meanwhile, Carly was very subtle with moments of power especially towards the end. She sounded wonderful, all things considered. There was plenty of emotion and the range and notes she chose made her sound great. I think she should be just fine tomorrow.

What the Judges Said: Randy liked that she challenged herself. The only thing he worried about was that she needs to trust herself more. It was pretty good. Paula liked that she showed some vocal restraint and then moved on to soar. It was great. Simon wanted to hear her sing the song. He doesn’t think she pulled it off in comparison to Mariah. He felt that she was over-thinking things and she could have done better.

Syesha Mercado was up after the break. Mariah thought that Syesha chose a great song to sing. She wrote the song as a teenager and it’s still her favorite song. Mariah gave Syesha plenty of pointers to try and help make her more confident. She thought she was cool and did a great job.

What she Sang: “Vanishing”

What she Wore: Syesha wore a gold halter dress.

How she Sounded: I don’t think anyone could like Syesha as much as she seems to like herself. She likes to power her notes where they don’t need to be powered. Furthermore, her big voice always comes off as more of a high-powered scream. She was falling off notes and keys, and it just was not impressive. She reminded me of someone looking for that Kelly Clarkson moment, but the problem was she was lost in the dark and would never have been able to find it, if she is even capable of such a moment.

What the Judges Said: Randy felt it was a tough song, but she did a good job, all things considered. It was a little pitchy but good. Paula felt she was smart this week. She picked a song that most people do not know so they cannot compare it to Mariah. Overall, it was magical. Simon felt it was very good, but it wasn’t a good song choice so she was running a risk at that stage in the competition. He felt that David was still the one to beat at that point.

Brooke White and Kristy Lee Cook were set to go up next after a break. Brooke was up first. She mentioned being sad that she missed her sister’s wedding over the weekend. On a better piece of news, Mariah loved Brooke and felt that she was very genuine as a person. She felt that she meant the words that she sang from her heart. She advised her to feel the words and take them to heart as this would only better her performance.

What she Sang: “Hero”

What she Wore: Brooke wore a black dress sequenced dress.

How she Sounded: As usual, Brooke sat at her piano to play this week’s song. This was one of Mariah’s number one songs. It’s interesting to hear Brooke do Mariah because Brooke reminds me so much of a Carly Simon. The song turned out very inspirational and somewhat less pop-like. I found it interesting in the middle of the song how she started to belt out her notes. It was a different move for Brooke. It was a side that we have not really seen of her. Her voice just got so much stronger. While not everyone will love this new side of her vocally it showed that she is capable of trying new things and that is incredibly important. It was very calm compared to the depths that Mariah had given it, but it was one of my favorite performances so far for that very reason.

What the Judges Said: Randy liked that she brought the whole singer-songwriter vibe to it. The bridge was weird, but he appreciated it and felt it was good. Paula loved how authentic Brooke was. She’s identifiable. This unplugged version was brave and save for some off notes, it was good. It didn’t seem challenging even though it probably was. Simon felt she didn’t have much choice in what she chose to sing because nothing was really her style. However, he felt that he ordered a hamburger but only got a bun. He didn’t feel the vital ingredient was in the song and her voice wasn’t strong enough for that song choice.

Kristy Lee Cook sang a song that not everyone knows, which could have been an advantage for her because the comparison to Mariah would not be as fierce. Mariah felt it was good that she chose a song that was not so identifiable to the general public. When she heard Kristy Lee sing she got goose bumps from the song. It could be for that reason that she felt like she would do a good job with her main performance.

What she Sang: “Forever”

What she Wore: Kristy Lee was wearing a bronze dress.

How she Sounded: A piano accompanied Kristy Lee this week. I felt the control was off on her voice, but this is nothing new for her when she is out of her comfort zone. Her soft tone was breathy and weak, and when she belts her notes she kind of screams. It was not impressive. I don’t know if she is crowd shy or what, but she seems to do better in the practice times than she does on the stage. She does better with country either way, so I wasn’t expecting a whole lot here, but on the fair side I’ve certainly heard her do much worse. I don’t think she’s in a great position right now, but then she has been in the bottom more than anyone, and she still continues to remain on the show.

What the Judges Said: Randy felt it was kind of pitchy, but she stepped it up towards the end. Paula thought that she was smart. She was blown away. She loved the arrangement and it could have been a hit in the country music scene. She was proud of her. Simon didn’t get chills like Mariah. She managed with what she could and it was somewhat whiny, but that was to be expected as there was no advantage here for her. It wasn’t great.

David Cook was up next. Mariah was shocked by his song choice. I have to admit, I was shocked too, but I knew that he would make anything he chose, his own, so it would be amazing in the end. She felt he did something really different and she was proud as a songwriter, because he was able to change the song and take it in a new direction completely.

What he Sang: “Always Be My Baby”

What he Wore: David was looking very JT like in a white shirt, jacket, tie, and slacks. Overall, he looked incredibly hot.

How he Sounded: If I had to choose a winner for the entire thing right this second, it would be David Cook. I was in it for him to win it, ever since Beatles week round one. I wasn’t sure in the beginning with that Eleanor Rigby rendition, but after hearing it a second time I really did fall in love with it. David turned “Be My Baby” into a rock hit, just like he has with so many other songs in this competition, and it was incredibly interesting to hear. I wasn’t a huge fan of the song before tonight, but with a full band, some backup singers, and his haunting voice, I absolutely loved it. It was so unique. He definitely nailed it. It was hot and there really isn’t anything else to say.

What the Judges Said: Randy thinks that David is ready to make an album, more than anyone on the show. It was the most brilliant performance of the season. Paula felt it was pretty awesome and the song could be in a movie soundtrack. David is it. Simon felt it was coming out of Karaoke hell and stepping into a breath of fresh air. It was original, daring, and stood out by a mile. Congrats to David.

Jason Castro was up after the break and it was his job to close out the show. Mariah felt his song choice was interesting though she didn’t add in too much more than that about the song. He loved her song inclusions and ideas that she gave him. She felt he was unique and she was glad she could work with him.

What he Sang: “I Don’t Want to Cry”

What he Wore: Jason wore a jean jacket, t-shirt, and jeans.

How he Sounded: This was one of Mariah’s biggest songs. He had a small set of guitar players and some bongos going while he sang. It wasn’t his worst performance, but I am not entirely sure that I was sold at all either. It was certainly a new take, which was good because he obviously couldn’t pull off her version. Did I love it? No. There were some pitchy moments. However on a more positive note even though it wasn’t my favorite, it was better than I have heard him before.

What the Judges Said: Randy didn’t love it. It felt weird. He didn’t get it. It was like a beach party with music in the distance. Paula wished she was at that beach party. It was lovely. He’s amazing. Simon agreed with Paula. It wasn’t the best vocal, but it was all his and it was cool. The guys beat out the girls completely.

The Best of the Night: David Cook blew me away and blew everyone out of the water in the process. I would be shocked if he didn’t end up winning the whole thing. I also enjoyed the performances of both Carly and Brooke.

The Worst of the Night: I don’t feel Kristy Lee was in her element. She second guesses herself and I highly doubt that she will be around much longer because of that. Syesha is the exact opposite. Unlike Kristy Lee she is over-confident and often without reason. I imagine that she’s a much better actor than she is a singer. Either way, her days on Idol are numbered.

David Archuleta handled himself very well, but this is nothing new. I didn’t label him the best of the night, because he’s not challenging himself or changing his game. It’s always an inspirational song, sung well. He’s not going anywhere and that’s good, but I’d like to see something new.

Finally, Jason Castro wasn’t as bad as he normally is, but at the same time I don’t think he will be sticking around much longer. I think it will be him, Syesha, and Kristy Lee in the bottom this week. While I wouldn’t mind seeing Syesha go home, I think it might be one of the other two instead.

When I think of becoming Paris (Crotch Rocket) Hilton’s best friend it makes me want to vomit a little in my mouth. Once I’ve cleaned that up, I have to consider how many other things I would rather have happen to me instead. For example, I would rather be anally invaded by the nose of a jet than have to be seen with Hilton.

However, the idea that there is going to be an entire show around this concept just frightens me. In some ways it makes me laugh. I Wanna Be Paris’ New Best Friend! will premiere on MTV. According to the page “Paris is looking for a new pal….and she’s got her eye on you! Sign up as a hopeful and you could be living the life with the posh princess herself!”

Rather than laugh at the irony that someone so in love with herself has to stoop to reality television to find a friend, let’s instead look at the top contenders in the competition thus far.

Number 5: Chuck Love
He’s a 23 year old from Philly. He lists his similarities to Paris as being, “First I enjoy being in the public eye. Next, I am approached to take pictures with random people on a daily basis. Finally, I love to have fun and party.” He’s also 3 ½ feet tall. She might like this fact though. We’ve all heard how she treats little people and animals. Maybe she would ask to carry him in her purse during events where she couldn’t bring her dog.

Number 4: <a href=”http://www.parisbff.com/people/abby0090">Abby0090
She’s 18 and from Cohutta, Georgia. Despite being number 4 in the running, she is automatically disqualified as Paris needs friends that she can drink with. However, she lists her Paris similarities as “We both love animals, and both like to have fun. I love getting dressed up and having fun, and we all know Paris does, too! Neither one of us really cares about the negative things people have to say. We both have small dogs (Tinkerbelle, and I have a yorkie named Sophie–I love her to death!). We both love our families and also have the same taste in fashion. We both love singing!”

She might have worked as a best friend for crotch rocket, but the fact that they wouldn’t be able to legally get in clubs to fight over men, get drunk, and puke together would really shorten her chances.

Number 3: TayZonday
He (I think it’s a He) is 25 and from Minneapolis. He didn’t fill out the standard blog survey that the others have, but he does thank everyone for the votes and talks about writing a song for Paris (Ode to a dumb, superficial Skank, anyone?). He also says “Paris and I will work toward this higher state of social and political consciousness — one that brings out the best in us and not the most trite.”

Really, with promises like that how could you not want him as Paris’ new BFF?

Number 2: SouthernGal85
She is 22 and from Cleveland, Texas. Like Number 3, Number 2 did not do the blog thing with the similarities she shares with Paris. However, she does say that she wants Paris to hang out with more fat people, and she adds “I believe I am very different that what may be expected. I’m from Texas and I’m overweight. Nothing about me is fake. I’m actually a happy person and I think it would be interesting to see a friendship take place from two very different lifestyles!”

A part of me can’t help but want her to win. The photo ops will be priceless because you know Paris can’t be seen without anyone who is trashy, coked-out, cocked-out, or anorexic. She wouldn’t know how to handle this one.

Number One: <a href=”http://www.parisbff.com/people/BenjyBenjy">BenjyBenjy

He is 21 and from New York. He did not answer the blog questions either, but he did do the week five requirement, which asked if you had a significant other and how you felt it would affect your BFF-ness with Paris. His reply, “I do not currently have a significant other…I am dating…being Paris BFF would help me to find one, cause when Paris and I are BFF’s, I will wear a t-shirt that says “Paris is my BFF” this will be inside an image of a heart and also inside the heart will be a photo of Paris…Paris will wear a shirt saying “BenjyBenjy is my BFF”…with my photo on it inside a heart…”

Aww….Isn’t that cute?

Ryan introduced the final eight ladies tonight and with a nod to the judges he would be about ready to start the show. It’s the top 16 this week, which means tonight is the top 8 women and the last week before things become co-ed. When he introduced the judges it appeared that everyone was ready to get things moving.

Randy was pimpin’ in a v-neck and a white t-shirt. He said the guys were hot so the girls better bring it. Paula looked like her usual, drunk self in a designer shirt, with a funky weave bun. Paula said she hopes the girls pick the right song. The hair of the 80s was cool. Simon looked like his normal self in a black t-shirt. He said no one is safe.

Like last night for the guys, tonight’s theme was 80s music. Each contestant had to tell about their most embarrassing moment.

Up first was Asia’h Epperson. Her embarrassing story involved her being an extra on a movie. Basically, she had to roller skate, and she hadn’t in a long time. So, she ran into the set light and fell on her butt. They had to break because she messed up the light.

What she sang: “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”

What she wore: A pink tank top (silk) and some purple pants – her hair looks cute and she had jewelry on

How she sounded: She isn’t Whitney. She has a nice voice, but the song is too big for her. Still, she wasn’t horrible. She can sing. It’s hard to compare to Whitney, especially when doing the song just like Whitney did. Overall, not as bad as the start to last night.

What the judges said: Randy recorded this song with Whitney. He said it was a tall order, but she showed proof she deserved to be here. It was hot. Paula wondered if she picked a big song, would she be able to pull it off? She nailed it. Simon said it was second rate Whitney. She couldn’t hit the big note at the end. He said she’s good enough for the top 12 though.

Asia’h replied that she would take second rate Whitney.

A break occurred right off the bat since we only have an hour to get through the eight girls. Ryan announced that Kady Malloy and Amanda Overmyer would be up next.

Kady Malloy was up first. Kady’s embarrassing story happened when she was in 9th grade. She sucked at a talent show. She sang “Beautiful” by Christina. Her singing teacher hated it. On the way off stage, she tripped over the sound system, knocked over the mic and the entire sound system collapsed.

What she sang: “Who Wants to Live Forever”

What she wore: A purple sleeveless dress top and jeans

How she sounded: She has some pitchy moments. She doesn’t seem as bad as her past performances. A girl singing Queen isn’t very believable in this case. Her face looks contorted during part of it. I’m assuming this is going to be the worst performance of the night. She reminds me of Luke from the top 8 guys. You can tell both have potential, but both pick crappy songs, on purpose, to ruin their voices.

What the judges said: Randy said it was an interesting choice. It was pretty good. Queen is hard to sing. The big notes were good, but small notes weren’t. Paula said it was, to date, her best performance. Her voice was tender. Thats where the magic is for her voice. Simon says it was better than last week, but she lacks personality. She’s a Stepford wife. Simon says she needs to show emotion, because she is cute & relaxed on tape but stiff when she performs. She might be in trouble.

Amanda Overmyer was up next. Her embarrassing story dealt with fire. They had a fireplace she used to bring out on her deck. She left it out there one night and discovered later she burned down her deck, half her house, and part of her pool.

What she sang: “I Hate Myself for Loving You”

What she wore: Her ugly streaked hair, black sequined tank top, jeans and Aerosmith scarves scare me, but thats nothing new

How she sounded: I hate myself for having to listen to this crap. Typical Amanda sound. It sucked. It sucked. It sucked. It sounds like she has throat cancer when she sings. She sounded the same as all the other songs she has sung in the past. She sounds like she’s singing in a honky tonk bar for the biker boys. Overall, worst performance thus far (and trust me Kady was bad). I don’t know what Simon sees in her. I hope Joan Jett slices her tires.

What the judges said: Randy said this is the Amanda they know and love. He musta been dippin in Paula’s cup. Paula says this is who we fell in love with (lesbian Paula?) and she found her niche. When Paula says “we” she means herself and her other personalities because she isn’t talking about me. Simon thought it was fantastic. He was being honest. She nailed it. This is one of his favorite girl performances. He told her to smile. It was great for him.

There was a commercial break. Ryan said next up was Carly Smithson and Kristy Lee Cook, so I waited through boring commercials with baited breath and such anticipation. Woo!

When we returned, Ryan mentioned we could download the songs on iTunes again, for the 50th time. Carly Smithson was up first. She got her leg stuck in a railing at a bar. Her friend was kinda drunk so she brought butter, soap and oil. A crowd formed to watch her get her leg unstuck and it was really embarrassing.

What she sang: “I Drove all Night”

What she wore: A plain blank tank top and fashion jeans with gold buttons

How she sounded: She sounded good. I’m a Carly fan, but I had been disappointed in her last two performances. The beginning was sketchy, but she picked it up pretty quickly and she sounded awesome. Her voice is beautiful.

What the judges said: Randy loved it. It was very good. Another great performance. Paula called her a dude. She said she’s a dependable dog. She had a great time. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe her singing. Simon said it wasn’t the right song. He yelled at the audience when they booed him. He said it wasn’t a great song, so it didn’t show her off. He told Paula Carly could sing the phone book.

Carly’s mom was here from Ireland for the first time to see her daughter. Ryan said it sounds like the judges believe she deserves to be in the top 12.

Kristy’s embarrassing fact happened when she was seven. She used to pretend she was a dog. She would let her pet rats ride around on her back. She went around for a year barking at people and drank from a dog bowl.

What she sang: “Faithfully”

What she wore: A black and white patterned dress shirt, black fashion belt and jeans – her tongue is red so she must have had red candy or a cough drop – oh and her eyeshadow didn’t match her clothes

How she sounded: She’s ahead of the band. She’s trying to jump the gun. Her music has a slight country accent to it. It was okay. It was better than some of her other performances. She’s no Steve Perry. If it was closer to his performance she would have failed miserably. She just isn’t as good as the other girls. She’s not memorable.

What the judges said: Randy loves this girl. He liked the fact that she put a country spin on it. It could work. Paula said it could be a country music hit. She looks great tonight. She has nothing but positivity. Simon liked the country influence. Simon says she’s forgettable. Simon says at best, she could be 10th.

After a commercial (which made me want to see Canterbury’s Law), the show returned. Next up was Ramiele Malubay. Her embarrassing moment happened in 5th grade. She dropped off her picture at a boy’s house. She went across the street to see if he would look at it. His mom and the boy came out and laughed at it.

What she sang: “Against All Odds”

What she wore: A gray hoodie zip up, a tank top and a skirt

How she sounded: She’s tackling a song too big for her. I like the way she arranged it, but it’s not going to be Phil Collins good. Everybody is doing slow songs. It isn’t her best performance. It’s not standout. Better than some of the others though. She should move on, but won’t be at the top.

What the judges said: Randy said it was a big song and big vocals. It was pretty good, but lacked confidence. He told her to go for it. She has mad vocals so come on wit it. Paula said she had a beautiful face, and pure voice. The textures of her voice are….well she can’t finish because she’s drunk and Simon confused her. She decided to say Ramiele “it’s all about you”. She deserves to be in the top 12. Simon said Paula distracted him. He thought it was old fashioned. He thought it was predictable and he wasn’t jumping out of his chair.

Another commercial and then we have Brooke White. Ryan talked to the judges first and mentioned the download thing again.

Brooke’s embarrassing moment happened when she was 12 or 13. At church, she ran up to her dad, was hanging off of him, and said, “I’m hungry and want to go home.” When the guy turned around, it wasn’t her dad.

What she sang: “Love is a Battlefield”

What she wore: A melon colored top and some black jeans with a belt – she’s wearing a gaudy, red ring

How she sounded: I really like Pat, so I’m not sure how I feel about Brooke slowing it down. I like it, if I ignore Pat sang it. I found it interesting she just sat there. It was probably her best performance of the night, in my opinion. She has good vocals. She’s a solid performer. She’s interesting.

What the judges said: Randy said without the guitar, he liked it. He focused on her voice. He isn’t sure she brought anything new to it. He thought it was interesting. Paula knew the people who choreographed the Pat video. She likes that the song is pure. She wishes that Brooke incorporated the band. Simon thought it worked. The song was original. She made it different. It was great. He didn’t want her to incorporate the band into it. That’s why it worked.

The night came to a close with a final performance from Syesha Mercado. Syesha’s embarrassing moment was when she was in second grade. She wrote the “do you love me” yes/no letter to a boy she liked. She put a strawberry piece of bubble gum in with the note. He took the gum, ate it, then told the teacher on her.

What she sang: “Saving all My Love for You”

What she wore: A black top (sleeveless) and black mini shorts

How she sounded: She sounded good until she hit that first high note. It’s very hard to pull off Whitney. She did it better than most, but still it wasn’t Whitney.

What the judges said: Randy loved it. Paula loved it. Simon said it was predictable, but good. They were short, but sweet.

Who is going Home: Amanda, Kristy Lee or Kady should be going home. All of them deserve to because Amanda sucks overall, Kristy Lee is forgettable and Kady can’t seem to find her voice or personality. None of these performers have the ability to compete against the other girls in the competition.

Who should Stay: Carly, Asia’h, and Brooke need to stay. Of the girls, they were the best of the evening. They have the strongest vocals and the prettiest voices. Syesha and Ramiele should stick around as well. They have solid voices. They just don’t always pick the best songs.

Randy & Paula were happy overall. Simon said Amanda was his favorite performance. Only a few girls were good. They aren’t as good as the boys. He’s disappointed.

Ashtyn is definitely the casual gamer in the family. A game fan since she owned an Atari, Ashtyn can remember when her brother rigged the television so he wouldn't lose his Super Mario Bros. game. Like most people, I really only watch to see who would get kicked off. After what seemed like a year of watching the recaps for the guy performances and listening to stupid comments by Paula about colors, we finally got down to some results.

Garrett was the first to be going home. When they announced it Danny was shown looking in the camera with absolute fear. I don’t know what he’s worried about though. Being that he is Vote for the Worst’s poster boy, he should be fine. Garrett sang the song he sang from the other day. He’s not horrible he’s just not as good or as memorable as some of the others at this stage.

After a break, they decided to send one of the girls home. They showed the performances of the ladies just like they did with the men before. After this they will be sending home another male and female from the bunch. This time around Kristy was called up though it was a distraction. Vote for the Worst’s female favorite, Amy Davis was the first to be voted off. Looks like the guys over there will have to hook up with a new female for the masses to vote for next week.

They went ahead and showed Paula’s new music video, “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow”. The song is catchy. I will give her that, but the video made me giggle like there was no tomorrow because the video looks like she took all the dance moves from her old videos and combined them to make one new, hip video with the Yo-Factor. It was certainly the right song choice for Paula, but the dancing just killed me. It definitely cheered me up! Man, I am so happy Paula’s back. Someone had to fill in for Britney while she went crazy!

When it was mentioned that Simon is thrilled about Paula’s comeback, his response was simple. “She represents every color in the Universe!”

The ladies were back up for elimination. Joanne and Amanda were asked to go to the front. One was going home. God, it was like my wet dream. I can’t stand either of them so this was perfect! Of course, Ryan opted for a commercial right then so we had to wait to find out that Joanne was going home. I was hoping it would be Amanda, but obviously there’s hope she’ll go home next week. I’m assuming she was in the bottom 3! Joanne did her song and then it was on to the boys and time to get rid of another one of them before next week.

The guys called up to center stage were Colton and Chikezie. Colton was the one to be going home this time. This was mildly amusing because he was the final person to be picked for the show against the politician kid, Kyle. Simon had wanted Kyle, not Colton, so perhaps he was right. His parting words to Colton were to get another job. The goodbye song for this season is “Best Days”. After that, Colton closed the show.

I have to hand it to you America; you sent a bunch of the worst ones home…The race is beginning to tighten up. Hopefully next week everyone will be feeling better and be on their game a little more than they were this time around.

…And hopefully they’ll send Amanda home.

Tonight the top 12 women of American Idol’s Top 24 were performing for the first time on the AI stage. After showing a brief “reminder” of how it all went down (aka how they made it to the Top 24), it was time for the women to hit the stage. This is a recap of what they sang, how they looked, and how they did. Predictions of who should be (and will be) cut are included.

Ryan started the show off by rambling about how bad this cold and flu season is and how some of the girls are actually sick, but planning to try and do their best.

The Judges: Randy was his normal self in a trendy bling-wear sweater ensemble. Paula wore an outfit that was black and white. It was fairly plain for her, but, as usual, Paula looked high, so it’s all good. Her advice for the show…brings the vocals. I can’t help but wonder if she thinks this is the chicken rodeo again. What else are they supposed to bring?! Meanwhile, Simon looked like always and mentioned that he loved when the crappy singers spar with him over his opinion.

According to Ryan, tonight’s songs, just like the night before, are all from the 60s.

Up first is Kristy Lee Cook. Kristy sold her horse to try out for AI. She is known for “Amazing Grace”, but not much else at this point. Tonight we will find out if she’s capable of more or will be leaving quickly.

What she wore: Gold tank top and jeans with some fashion rips and a belt. Her hair looked nice, but it wasn’t singing, so she doesn’t really get points for that.

What she sang: “Rescue Me”

How she sounded: In a word…nervous. The song didn’t push her ability at all. The lyrics were all short and simple vocally. Despite that it did not hit a positive note to start the show. The first and immediate thought is that she won’t be the best and I hope it gets better quick. Her movements just weren’t there. She seemed like she wasn’t with it. Maybe she should have tried to stick with Amazing Grace.

What the judges said: Randy didn’t think it was her best. She had pitch problems, but it’s hard being first. Paula said it was okay, because she was sick. However, she shouldn’t let things get in the way of her performance. You can’t let people see you’re having a tough time. Paula said she did a good job.

Simon thinks this is the time to show what you’re made of. It wasn’t the right song choice and the performance was robotic. It doesn’t matter if you’re sick because it just wasn’t the right way to make a good impression.

Joanne Borgella was up next. She is the plus size model that was picked last during Hollywood Week. She mentioned that she felt it was important to win because big girls don’t often get love. Cardyn was really sweet about losing. It made me wish they would have reconsidered.

What she wore: A Dark Blue Top with Black pants and boots.

What she sang: “Say a Little Prayer for You”

How she sounded: I wasn’t into it. I don’t know if she’s sick, too. It was just off. I don’t know if she rearranged the song. It didn’t sound too different, but the whole thing got on my nerves. I just wasn’t into it. She was into it, but she can’t vote for herself so I don’t know where that will get her. I think the entire thing was awful and she definitely had pitch problems.

What the judges said: Randy noted her nerves. For him, the first part was weird, but it was okay during the end. Paula felt that in auditions she had confidence, and it is nerve wracking, but you have to shine on through. She liked it but didn’t love it. Simon didn’t like it at all. This is the point where you need to nail it and what she was doing was average and cabaret. There was no confidence and there was nothing to show she could be a good recording artist.

Just before break time, Ryan announced that Alaina Whitaker, who is one of the youngest contestants, would be up next. I don’t remember seeing Alaina at all during the auditions or Hollywood Week. Upon watching the flashbacks I realized that she tried out in Dallas. She thought she was hot, but Simon didn’t think she was as hot as she thought she was.

What she wore: This odd half-shoulder flowery yellow top, jeans, and heels.

What she sang: “More Today than Yesterday”

How she sounded: She is the best of the three that have been on so far, but I am not sure how great that is. She has a Southern twang, which adds something to her voice that is nice. She is the only one that has played it up for the audience. She had them on their feet, which is more than I can say for the other two. She started out a little sketchy, but the further into the performance she got, the more I bought it. It wasn’t half bad.

What the judges said: Randy thought it was funny because it’s the year of the younger ones. It was going on even though in the beginning it was weird. Paula felt it was a feel good song. It’s a joyful song. She nailed it, and had the best ending ever. Simon thinks she’s very good. This is the first time he saw no nerves. He hated the song because it’s corny, but if you can make a song like that sound okay, when she gets a good song, she will make it sound great. Simon predicts that she will be here for the next round.

It was time for another commercial, but when the show returns it was all about Amanda Overmyer. Amanda is the slightly creepy, biker nurse. She did a highly unflattering Janis Joplin song during her audition and an even more unflattering “Light My Fire” during Hollywood Week.

Needless to say she’s here and I am guessing she will be attempting to rock things out when she’s up. She has been called the female Daughtry. Personally, I think those calling her that are tone deaf and have issues, but that’s just me.

What she wore: Black tank top, ripped, rocker jeans, and too many rings. He multi-colored hair makes her look like a skunk.

What she sang: “Please Don’t Go”

How she sounded: Like a train wreck. The guitar drowned her out, the scatting thing sucked. My god this was by far the most awful song of any of the Idols I have heard so far. Actually, it should be…baby please just leave. Leave the stage, leave Hollywood, and leave singing behind. Everything about it was horrible!

What the judges said: Randy loved it and her pants. Paula loves everything that she does. She’s not a one trick pony. Simon died laughing. Simon likes her because she’s authentic. It wasn’t the best performance. She sounded like she forgot the words. He hopes she hangs out. She may need to prove that she’s a better singer.

Another commercial and then it would be Brooke White and Amy Davis. Brooke is the nanny who mentioned during her auditions that she has never watched a rated R movie. As for Amy, I have no idea who she is, but apparently she made it through.

Amy Davis came first.

What she Wore: An off the shoulder tank and jeans with heels. Her hair is curled and while she looks fine, she doesn’t sound fine.

What she Sang: “Where the Boys Are”

How she sounded: Wow, maybe she is sick. That or else she just truly sucks. She is hesitant, off key, and her voice is wavering like mad. It was a complete and total waste of time. It was just completely terrible. I suppose they have to weed people out and this is going to be a performance that may cause Amy to leave this week.

What the judges said: Randy didn’t think it was great. Country singers scoop up to the notes and you gotta hit it, but she didn’t. Paula says the camera loves her. The nerves were a problem and the song was lackluster. Simon said it was what it was. She looked great but didn’t sound great. It was boring. She needs country twang for that song and she doesn’t even have it. It felt like a ten minute song. After that she will be struggling.

Next was the innocent nanny, Brooke White.

What she wore: Silver sweater/top and black pants with heels.

What she sang: “Happy Together”

How she sounded: I’m trying to decide how I feel about her singing this song. It wasn’t that she was downright bad like Amy or some of the others. The song choice was weird, I think. She added in some little note changes so her voice would fluctuate and she did this odd kind of dance, where she bounced and kicked a little. It was awkward, but on a nice note the singing did improve, somewhat. Even at her worse (assuming this is it) she was one of the better ones.

What the judges said: Randy felt that it worked towards the end. It was bad in front, but the end was good. Paula says it’s about being original. She loves that she has her own thing. She picked the right song and did well. Simon felt she chose the right song. He felt like he was in a commercial for the 60s. It was very her, but he is struggling with all of it not being his cup of tea.

Alexandréa Lushington was up next. She is another of the many that got little to no airtime during Hollywood Week. At least that’s what I thought. When I saw her grandmother I remembered her from her audition.

What she wore: A white patterned t-shirt and black pants with suspenders.

What she sang: “Spinning Wheels”

How she sounded: She definitely is one of the better ones tonight. She came out confident and was hitting the right notes. Well, she had this odd high note moment, but other than that she was pretty on it. She recovered quickly and gave a decent performance for the most part. Of course, by now I had some pretty low expectations, so I am not sure how good that is for her.

What the judges said: Randy said she blew the roof off for that song. It was hot! Paula loved it because she took control from entrance to bottom. Her outfit was dope! She had more confidence than any of the others. Simon didn’t get it. The vocals weren’t great and it reminded him of a horrible little show that was like a 60s musical. She looked nice though.

Next up at bat, after a break was Asia’h Epperson and Kady Malloy. Kady was the girl who did impressions of Britney Spears during her audition. Asia’h on the other hand, is just a doll. She’s genuinely pretty and if memory serves, she has a nice voice, as well.

Kady Malloy came up first.

What she wore: A maroon dress that had silver design straps.

What she sang: “Groovy Kind of Love”

How she sounded: It wasn’t happening. The song was a little lower than she usually goes and it showed. She had this kind of demon look in her eyes and the song was just wavering in this off tune, off rhythm kind of thing that just wasn’t hot at all. The last note was okay though.

What the judges said: Randy loved the backstage thing where she impersonated Britney. This song was okay, but it was too restrained. It didn’t get there for him. Paula loves her personality. She wants to see the life and the fun. Simon agrees with Paula. It was like Night of the Living Dead. When she does Britney, she is brilliant. When she does herself, the lights go off. She appeared 80 not 18. She needs to lighten up. Ever since that first audition she has been going downhill.

Next up was Asia’h Epperson. Asia’h was the girl who lost her father right before the audition. Despite that she gave an amazing audition and is one of the most promising contenders for the females.

What she wore: Maroon/Purple off the shoulder dress shirt and jeans

What she sang: “Piece of My Heart”

How she sounded: She has attitude, which is good. This song needs that. I kind of feel like she wasted her voice on this song. She has such an amazing voice, but it doesn’t show it off with that song. Nothing was particularly wrong with the vocals. She was certainly one of the better singers, possibly even the best, but I would have liked her to do something that was more challenging for her.

What the judges said: Randy loved that she did her thing. He was impressed. Paula liked that she had fun up there. Simon loved it. It was his favorite.

Ramiele Malubay was set to take the stage after a commercial break. She’s got a big voice and she sounds great normally. No one has really impressed me tonight. Hopefully, she will be the first to do that.

What she wore: A Black and Red Sweater/Shirt combo and gray pants with heels.

What she sang: “Believe Me”

How she sounded: She started out a little bit weird, but she got it together some towards the middle. It wasn’t as good as what she had done in Hollywood and auditions, but she will be sticking around, I think. She did much better than a lot of them. She showed she could sing, which is the point. I didn’t have to love it to respect that she will most likely do well in the coming weeks.

Judges Comments: Randy liked it by saving it for the end. She stuck to it and made it her own. It was almost like a pro. Paula loves her. She’s a force to be reckoned with. There was a tenderness and it was great. Simon didn’t like her at first. In Hollywood, he felt she was better. Tonight, she out sung everyone.

Syesha Mercado was coming up next, which puts Carly Smithson in last place, which is what I was expecting would happen. Carly has received slack because she had a failed record contract at one point and a lot of people don’t feel she should be on the show.

AI’s policy is that you cannot currently be tied up, so votes permitting, Carly will be sticking around. As for Syesha, all I remember about her was a good voice and her wild hair.

What she wore: Black shirt, jeans, and a colorful scarf. She was also wearing some large hoop earrings and some hot black boots.

What she sang: “Tobacco Road”

How she sounded: She went for a rock song, which was interesting. It wasn’t bad. The guitar had a way of overpowering her voice. It felt like the guitar was playing one song and she was singing another. The vocals were not bad though. So, it was somewhat of a mixed bag for me. She nailed the last note. Regardless, she not going anywhere anytime soon.

What the judges said: Randy had some pitchy issues, but he liked it. Paula loves that she’s consistent, joyful, and big (I think she means in performance value). Simon agreed it wasn’t the best. It doesn’t matter though because she is one of the most talented in the competition. She has the total package.

Finally, the last performance of the night was Carly Smithson.

What she wore: A long, flowing maroon top with black pants. She looked very plain, but it worked well.

What she sang: “Shadow of Your Smile”

How she sounded: I don’t know if she was nervous or sick, but her voice just wasn’t on it tonight. She was either too breathy or she was screaming. I was completely shocked at this performance because I really do like Carly, but I wasn’t feeling this performance. I hope she sticks around based on past work, but if it was up to this performance alone, I think she would be in serious trouble. (Note: They said she has bronchitis).

What the judges said: Randy loved it and it was the best vocal of all 24 despite her being sick. Paula feels she’s the lucky coin in the pocket. She doesn’t have to power her voice. It was beautiful. Simon didn’t like it. He didn’t get it. There is so much hype and buzz about Carly, but the song was too old and the mic technique was cabaret. She has so many capabilities, but it was not fantastic.

The Best: This is one of those hard questions to answer because nothing was really making me jump out of my seat tonight. I didn’t see that wow performance. Syesha wasn’t bad. Asia’h, Alexandréa, and Alaina were decent, as well. I think they will all be sticking around.

The Worst: You can take your pick. There were very few incredible performances to be seen tonight. Some of the worst included Joanne Borgella and Amanda Overmyer, though like I said a lot of them were just terrible. Amy Davis was another one. I am thinking that two of these three will…or should…go home.

As of now, she is into the Wii and Nintendo DS, though she's certain the games for PS3 and Xbox 360 are more appealing.
