Based on the upcoming film from DreamWorks Animation, the How to Train Your Dragon™ video game launches gamers into a third-person action-adventure as a Viking hero where they must embark upon an epic quest to become the ultimate dragon trainer. Gamers can play as characters “Hiccup” or Astrid” on the vast Island of Berk, which features expanded locales from the film including Vikings’ Village, Wild Zone, Training Zone and Fight Arena.

In this truly larger-than-life adventure, players will train dragons, explore environments and battle in prestigious dragon tournaments as they battle for Viking victory. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has provided the following information about the new Daphne, as she premieres in the new Scooby Doo video game. I’ve included a profile for Daphne plus a selection of images of the newly created character.

Full name: Daphne Ann Blake

Daphne loves fashion, but that doesn’t mean she’s afraid to get her hands dirty! She’s an expert at hand-to-hand combat! Daphne has somehow managed to always be in constant jeopardy, earning her the nickname Danger-Prone Daphne. However, she’s got a brain under that red head of hers!

So, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is really looking to push the release of Scooby Doo!: First Frights! The game is the latest about Scooby Doo and the Mystery Inc. Crew. Now, WB Interactive Ent. has provided me with descriptions and screenshots of the Scooby Doo!: First Fright enemies.

Gliding Ghoul

These ghouls patrol the many alleys and avenues of Amuesment Town on their roller skates. The Gliding Ghouls attack in gangs (surrounding anyone they catch) because individually they can’t stand the heat.
Ground pound attacks work wonders on these little creeps.

Sea Urchin Man

The Sea Urchin Men can be found lurking around the waters of Rocky Bay. They move fast, rolling and somersaulting around the combat zone. You’ll need to catch these slippery characters before you can take them down.

Zombies

The Zombie Sappers and Miners patrol a secret goldmine below Keystone Castle. Their medieval costumes have been designed to scare away unsuspecting guests, and the local Baron. While the sharp-eyed, tall Sappers use ranged attacks, the pickaxe-wielding miners prefer to get in close and are short in stature and temper!

Since 2001, Scooby-Doo videogames have sold more than 3.5 million copies in North America alone. Scooby-Doo! First Frights brings fans more of what they love with exciting environments, innovative gameplay and graphics that take full advantage of each console. Players put their sleuthing skills to the test solving puzzles, combating enemies and collecting clues before unmasking each mysterious villain. After solving each mystery, players can use unlockable character costumes for Scooby-Doo, Fred, Velma, and the rest of the gang to access new areas in every level.

Scooby-Doo! First Frights meddles its way onto the Wii, Nintendo DS and the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system September 22, 2009.

I don’t know about you, but I was giddy about all of the Final Fantasy announcements at E3. One of the titles announced was Final Fantasy XIV. Well, Square Enix has released some screenshots for the amazing backgrounds in the movie. There are also some screenshots for the battle sequences in the game, which won’t be out until sometime in 2010.

Here’s a look at the new Tony Hawk video game, Tony Hawk Ride. When you play this game, you’ll actually get to stand on a board and ride it. I think this might be one of the titles I have to sit out (literally), but the graphics look pretty sweet.

I’m a huge superhero fan, so I’m a bit geeked out by these new videos and screenshots of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. I am a huge fan of Marvel, especially Wolverine and the rest of the Xmen. Of course, it’s hard to discount, Spidey, Iron Man, The Hulk and the other Marvel characters.
